“Thank you once again for the excellent Deep Ground Penetrating Radar (DGPR) work completed on the Torrington Project in New South Wales. We are very keen to see further data acquisition and interpretation for this project, as we can see some significant opportunity to better direct drill hole placement and orientation.

Further to the discussion and your demonstration of the efficacy of the DGPR technique in the coal industry.

As you are aware, we are exploring a large coal deposit in the Galilee Basin, currently containing 1.69Bt in Indicated and Inferred JORC (2012) resources. We are very keen to explore the use of this technique to determine whether we can utilise it to address potential faulting within the deposit, as you have successfully done so in other areas. Further, we are anxious to determine whether the technique can be utilised to identify the Line Of Oxidation of coal seams as they progress up through the lower limit of weathering.

We believe this technique may have the potential to save us a significant number of drill holes if it proves efficacious.

“Ultramag Geophysics Pty Ltd offered to run several lines over the main area of the Kookabookra Gold Project using their newly acquired Deep Ground Penetrating Radar to see if this system could define the nature of the gold mineralisation. The gold mineralisation at Kookabookra that consists of <1% sulphides and contains no magnetic minerals does not present a good target for either electrical or magnetic geophysical methods.

Four 250m long lines were completed over the Mannix Gold Target in 4hrs. Three lines were run EW and one line was NS. All lines defined a possible deep (80-200m) intrusive body that is positioned directly below the best gold intersections in the shallow drilling mentioned above. This intrusive body now represents a significant drill target that could host a large gold system.

PWEA believes that this Deep Ground Penetrating Radar represents a geophysical method that has little or no setup costs and has the ability to find mineralisation that could be missed by electrical and magnetic methods. It is a very exciting development for mineral exploration.”
